The items I will be selling from this point on are being sold from my estate and from the estates of friends and relatives. This Vintage 1940 OK Twin Model Airplane Engine belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. He collected vintage & modern model airplane engines as well as almost everything else. I will be selling items from his collection over the next several months. This Vintage 1.208 cubic inch Herkimer OK Twin Model Airplane Engine shows light wear and ageing (see photos). It has two piece cast aluminum cases, with OK & patent numbers on the bypass and each cylinder has a period Champion spark plug (see photos). The back cover is also die cast aluminum with bronze bearings and the serial number (265) stamped on the top front flange. The front cover has a ball bearing and cylinders are beautifully turned from steel bar stock with no exhaust stacks. The under engine venturi is die cast aluminum with a short shaft needle valve (see photos) The crankshaft on this twin appears frozen and does not turn. The engine measures approximately 5.5 x 8 inches overall and has not been tested for functionality. It is sold as is. This Vintage 1940 OK Twin Model Airplane Engine is guaranteed to be as described.
