Description: Here is another used item that we recently acquired. This is an upper hood latch for a 1940 Chevy car. This came off of a very rusty hood. It mounts in the top of your hood right at the front. It is in driver type condition and it is not perfect. There are no dents or dings in it but as you can see it has rust in it. It looks and feels pretty solid so I don't think there is any danger of it rusting through for years. The rusted part of the hood was partially cut away so there are some saw blade scrapes on the edge but no cuts in the metal and there is what is left of one mounting screw that you will need to remove.There is pitting in the metal and it is supposed to have the large hood catch piece and spring right in the center of it but those are missing so you will need to supply those parts.
