The Pittsford High diamond is near the Barge Canal, so when there is a long hit and Tim hears a splash, he dashes for the canal, dives in and brings back the ball. He has saved the school about $25 this year. In lower picture he's shown with Pierce Rylott, his master, "receiving" his award from Kenneth C. Clark, director of athletics at the school. The certificate is duly signed by Clark and Everett S. Webb, school principal. Photo measures 8.25 x 10 inches. Photo Is dated 1939.
