He designed the Art Deco entrance at Zoological Gardens/ Dudley Zoo, Uk and wrote “Stage & Film Décor” In this pre WWII book he writes admiringly of Frank Lloyd Wright, Alvar Aalto, Le Corbusier, Gropius, Moholy-Nagy and Erich Mendelsohn. The book includes 80 photographed homes worldwide, including floorplans by many Architects of the new 20th century deco-moderne style. There are many homes and personages of note throughout the book. There is a 14 page introduction and text and then the designs are presented. Each House has some commentary description and notes on Construction ~ Materials ~ Colors as well as the floor plans. 10” x 7 1/4” pages not sequentially unnumbered – about 60 I show you many examples of the pages There is an Index of Architects of the designs _ I show you some of them. Condition: Very Good condition – Tightly bound ~ this is an ex-library book, as was the custom, it was rebound by the library in the sturdy buckram material for protection . .. there are the few normal library markings – call numbers on the spine – stamp on front cover and the endpapers have a pocket and other indications – a few blind stamps of the library . . .
