Description: RARE DOG ART CIGARETTE / TOBACCO / TRADE CARD, COLLECTIBLE, UK. 1938 One of a Series of 25 Champion Dogs, issued with Ardath Cork and State Express 333 Cigarettes. Each card is sold individually, Very Good or better condition, with minor edge wear, possible minor soil due to age and handling, minor rounding of corners, but overall good condition with no creases. Most artwork of the dogs is horizontal in format, reverse side of all cards printed with a line drawing of the breed with abridged points described and illustrating perfect specimens, horizontal in format (a scan of the back of the card is available for the asking!). Each dog is a named Champion dog, and the Thomas Fall photograph has been hand colored, and a background painting has been added, and is absolutely of framable quality, from the finest canine artists of the time! (Thomas Fall photo illustrated every major book on dogs in the early part of the 20th Century in England!) Size of the card is 3.7" wide by 2.6" high.
