On Sale is a scarce 1937 first edition of * Practical Craftwork Design *, by Winifred M. Clarke, then of the City & Guilds of London, etc., illustrated throughout from numerous full-page photo's and within-text instructive line drawings, published by B. T. Batsford, Ltd., London, [first published 1937] this one states to the Copyright page: "First Published, June 1937" with no other editions or impressions listed, size approximately 10 inches x 6-1/2 inches, with 92 pages plus the plates, plus a 32-page publisher's booklist. The green cloth covered hardcover with brown titles to front and spine, is lightly bumped and slightly rubbed on the extremities, very sound and not worn or split, not faded, titles clearly legible, slightly marked, otherwise generally clean and tidy (see photo's 1 and 5). Inside is complete, endpapers sound and not split, hinges tight with covers firmly attached, has an inscription in green ink to the front free endpaper "With love & best wishes from Grannie Arnison, 1941", no other writing or graffiti, binding firm with pages well attached, corners not turned and pages not torn, not tanned, a little palest foxing to the endpapers and to page edges else generally clear, otherwise generally very clean and tidy.
