Description: This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. Throughout the Thirties, Goudey Gum of Boston and Gum Inc. of Philadelphia competed for control of the bubble gum (and gum card) market. Goudey dominated first, with its sets of Indian cards and various baseball issues, but by the mid-Thirties, Gum Inc. (which became Bowman Gum after World War Two) won the war. In 1936, Gum Inc. issued one of the most iconic sets of the pre-war era, "G-Men & Heroes of the Law," a set showing illustrating the FBI's war on gangsters and other criminals. The set is filled with variations and is skip-numbered, with numerous rarities, making it a challenge for collectors. The set remains tremendously popular with collectors. This is a lot of 13 assorterd cards (with some duplication) from the G-Men set, showcasing plenty of blood, action and other lurid elements that made the set so popular. The cards are generally in rough condition, with creases, surface wear, toning and other flaws. (see scans for condition), not bad for cards that are over eighty years old. This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Shipping will be combined for multiple purchases. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
