Description: This is a typed letter dated December 10, 1936 signed in ink by G.B. Livingood on his stationary which indicates that he was from Allentown, PA. It is addressed to Mr. Walt M. Small at Cooperstown, PA. We know from other documents found with this one that Mr. Small was a professional geologist at this time. The letter is a recomendation for a recently published book called, "Out of the Southwest - A Texas Boy" which was an autobiography of Samuel W. Traylor, Sr. The letter is accompanied with an envelope addressed to Mr. Small but showing a return address for the Alumni Office of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, possibly where Mr. Livingood was employed.
