Description: AMERICAN LEAGUE SERVICE BUREAU APEX PHOTO OF BILL PHEBUS OF THE 1936-1937 WASHINGTON SENATORS. BILL PLAYED THE THREE YEARS IN THE MAJORS, 1936 THRU 1938. THIS PHOTO SHOWS HIM IN THE SENATORS UNIFORM THAT THEY WORE IN 1936 AND 1937. HE SPENT MORE YEARS IN THE PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE AND OTHER CALIFORNIA MINOR LEAGUES STARTING IN 1929 THROUGH 1942. HIS MAJOR LEAGUE CAREER CONSISTED OF THOSE THREE YEARS. BUT HE CONTINUED TO PLAY IN THE MINORS UNTIL 1942. HE APPARENTLY WAS A FASTBALL PITCHER BASED ON HIS RECORD AND HIS FIRST GAME IN 1937. IN THAT GAME HE ALLOWED ONE HIT, STRUCK OUT FOUR, BUT WALKED SEVEN AND HIT ONE BATTER. FOR HIS CRAEER HE STRUCK OUT 12 WHILE WALKING 24 WHICH WOULD IMPLY CONTROL OF A FASTBALL TO BE THE ISSUE. BILL DIED IN 1989. THIS APPEARS TO BE THE ONLY PRESS PHOTO OF HIM ON EBAY. Measures 7 by 5 inches. Please see scan for condition. There are no hidden flaws that I can find. I take my feedback seriously. So please ask any questions you may have and I will be glad to answer them. I will gladly combine shipping on multiple items.
