Description: Up for sale is a 7 x 11" photograph that has been produced from my original old negatives of Meade View Company postcards, a company that sold real photo postcards of numerous Maine towns and views in the 1920's, 1930's, and early 1940's. What you see is exactly what the postcard looked like, only better, since we cleaned up the negative, sharpened the image, and printed it with glossy format on quality photo paper. The back of the photo is blank. This view is of "SurfLedge", a magnificent summer cottage on the coastal road, in Kennebunkport, Maine, in the 1930's/early 40's. Back then, even huge houses were considered "summer cottages". Wonderful scene of this well-known and often-photographed house overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, near Spouting Rock and Blowing Cave. Nice roadster convertible and other old auto parked in the driveway! Some people say this house was in the TV series, "Dark Shadows", but I can't verify that.
