Description: 1930’s CCC Civilian Conservation Corps Pillow Case Cover WW2 Era Satin - silky type fabric with Fringe In great condition, has been carefully folded and stored away in a clean non-smoking environment for a number of years. Has some wrinkling as shown but is very nicely preserved.the backing fabric looks to be a lavender cotton fabric. The pillow cover measures approximately 16 1/2“ x 16 1/2“ excluding the fringe. The fringe adds about another inch and a half in length all the way around. This pillow cover is from the immaculate estate of a collector of historical items. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a voluntary government work relief program that ran from 1933 to 1942 in the United States for unemployed, unmarried men ages 18–25 The CCC was designed to supply jobs for young men and to relieve families who had difficulty finding jobs during the Great Depression in the United States.
