Description: "COATS FOR WOMAN"HART SCHAFFNER & MARX 1922 Very rare Hart Schaffner & Marx advertising poster by artist illustrator John E. Sheridan. This is among several items I am offering from my collection including an original painting, posters etc. Originally purchased as seen framed size measuring 19" x 27" in a 1 1/2" wide solid wood frame, framed at Michael's Crafts using archival materials. Poster itself seen inside mat is 14 3/4" x 22 1/4" and I believe is on board but back is sealed and I have not taken it apart. "Coats for Woman" is one of several ads done by Sheridan for Hart Schaffner & Marx around 1922 and were published in magazine in black and white. This poster is full color and does not show any fade and has dep rich coloration. CONDITIONAs poster is over 100 years old it does show some soiling and scattered foxing in lite background and a few lite creases and scuffs around her coat and feet area. Nice presentation and a rare color poster I have never seen as a John Sheridan collector. Guaranteed authentic and as described!
