Description: This 1920's Whiting Davis Piccadilly Vanity Purse has a mesh body with three little metal balls at the bottom. The frame is embossed with flowers and leaves and has a blue cabochon near the heavily made braided handle that is 6" L. On the frame there is a little round door that has a pull beneath it. If you pull this pull straight down, the door will open and you will have access to a small compartment with a mirror. This is big enough for a few coins. The chain linked mesh on the purse is all in very good condition with the exception of one tiny hole which you can see on picture 5. There is one link missing. You can't see it by holding up the purse to the light, you have to open the purse and look at one layer of the mesh. I used the purse for display only for over 10 years and never had a problem, but if you wanted to put things in the purse, i would try to repair it. The purse measures 7 1/2"H x 5 1/4" W. It is a very beautiful purse.
