During the war, the company had built up a loyal customer base and at the end of the war, the company continued to operate with its own manufacturing as French imports had a hefty tax levy on them. Operations expanded and Frederick Schwannecke was appointed manager of The French Manufacturing Company in 1923 and started to market their own products.Case named Doucette was introduced circa 1920s the company’s only truly identifiable case.
