Description: 1920-30 Baker Immaculate Condition, Mahogany Breakfront With Craved, Blown Bubble Glass This is a commanding, stunning, original condition breakfront. Gorgeous contrasting inlay designs and borders. I will consider reasonable Best Offers. One might expect that due its age it would show normal expected wear, scratches, dings or finish issues but unless I unintentionally missed them, I didn't see any.I am 90 years old and my Grand parents had this breakfront, they willed to me in 1965. In another listing, I am also selling the Baker dining room table and chairs they also willed me. The breakfront has two distinct sections; a base, and sitting securely on that base is the huge, rare blown bubble glass display cabinet in perfect condition. I recently downsized homes and found this breakfront to be too overpowering for this house's smaller dining room.MEASURES: Approximately 75" Long x 17"Deep x 84" High.ELEGANT LOWER SECTION: Consists of two side cabinets, each with two matching wooden fully adjustable shelves. There are five center drawers. The two bottom drawers are full width. The next higher two smaller drawers each about half the width of the lower two. The top long drawer is very unique in that it also locks. Its lock when opened allows the drawer front to drop open making it a felt padded silverware cabinet. Although key holes are present in all the drawers there are NO locks in the lower four drawers. The two matching, full size size bottom side doors are handcrafted of mahogany with crotch mahogany ovals. Handmade by Baker in America.GORGEOUS UPPER DISPLAY CABINET SECTION HAS CRAVED BLOWN BUBBLE GLASS : There are two sets of interior adjustable shelves in each compartment. One set are all the original Baker mahogany shelves (not shown). The other shelves, now in the cabinet, are edge polished plate glass. Both those sets of shelving are included in sale. The lowest inside bottom of each section have polished edge plate glass mirrors, giving them a small classy touch that adds even more value to this breakfront.Because of the visual statement this Baker Breakfront makes, and the oohs and aahs you will get from guests, it belongs in an upscale home, luxury mega yacht, or mansion. You will get no surprises when you buy this one.Buyer has to arrange their own removal and transportation.
