There is an index on the 8th photograph in the photo portion of the listing. The index describes the routes. This book features road atlas views, and topographical views of the area. It also has unique information, partially in an advertising format, of what was popular in the area at that time. The book also explains where a nice place to visit on your road trip may be such as: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and New England. This book is in good shape considering its age. It does have blemishes on the cover and the corners are slightly curled. The inner contents are very well preserved, I think I seen 1 or 2 underlined words from a pencil. Other than that there weren’t any other markings. No ripped pages. The binding is still holding up good. It is not perfect. The front pages of the book, and back pages of the book are very snug to the binding. Though, when the book is opened up, fanned straight out down the middle, it does feel a little weak in the very middle section of the binding in the pages. This issue does not feel severe, though I wanted to point this out, as a possible detail to the binding. I took photographs of the book fanned straight out down the middle. The covers are properly aged, not abused, and the inner contents are properly aged, not abused.
