Description: Here is an original celluloid 1 1/4" pin that has a gold-tone metal filigree border with 2 silk ribbons that are attached under the collet. The gold-embossed ribbons read: U.S.S. Kansas / Liberty War of 1917. The U.S.S. Kansas was a WWI battleship that circumnavigated the globe with the Great White Fleet in 1908 and 1909, and in WWI was a training ship for new personnel as well as escorting convoys to Europe. She also brought soldiers home from France after the war. A great WWI collectible in very good condition. Thanks for looking at this auction.
