Description: 1916 Zeenut (PCL) -JOE CORBETT (Seals) 1896-1897 Baltimore Orioles *Champion Boxer JAMES J. CORBETT'S Brother* Joe also won 24 games for the Orioles & were it not for a salary dispute may have gone on to HOF career, this card was made when he was 40 years old and making a late in life comeback. *SGC 10 (1), looks nicer than the grade would indicate*. The Zeenut series of cards was produced every year by the Collins Candy Co from 1911 to 1938, each set contained somewhere between 48 to nearly 200 cards and includes many players that were both future or former Major League players. The 1916 set has a distinct bluish tint to the background at top, simulating the look of blue sky and clouds. One of the better looking Zeenut sets. Please see scans for condition.
