Each page is reversible: Very colorful illustrations by Bessie Pease Gutmann on the front with 12 small nature illustrations on the reverse (see photos). Every 3 months are illustrated - "Nature Studies, Animals" for January thru March, "Flowers" for April thru June, "Butterflies" for July thru September, and "Birds" for October thru December. The calendar has been held together by two strings and a ribbon for over 110 years. Some lower corners are chipped (see photos). Calendar measures approximately 15 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches.
