Stokes also listed many names and the amount he paid workers on his farm, the money he put out for work on the farm, groceries, etc. Items include drayage, sand, gravel, brick and lime, delivery, oats, cross ties, hauling buggy, hammer, “Old Man Clark” for moving machine to shop, load coal, load lumber, load lumber, killing 2 hogs, load cotton seed, car of cord wood, hauling to gin, gasoline, hauling pickets, bbl of water, plowing, groceries (canned goods, flour, spuds, etc.), tobacco, etc. Ledger is worn and covers are stained; interior is good to very good.
