The 1910-S Twenty dollar gold double eagle is part of a series of Saint Gaudens gold double eagle coins struck from 1908-1933. Struck in San Francisco and designated as a Business (MS) strike, this coin is made of 90% gold; 10% copper from a mintage of 2,128,250 struck.The 1910-S Saint-Gaudens $20 is common in circulated grades and in lower uncirculated levels, though in Gem grades and up it is considerably scarce. Only a tiny handful of examples are known in the grades of MS66 or higher, though at least one specimen is known that grades MS68.Obverse: Liberty is portrayed standing on a rock, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The word LIBERTY appears on the top periphery surrounded by stars. The date is stamped on the right side of the coin, just above the rock.Reverse: A crescent sun appears at the bottom as if rising on the horizon with long rays extending to the top of the coin.
