Description: Here is an original, full issue of the German Lustige Blatter (Funny Papers) from 1910 that has 24 pages and is bound by 2 center staples. Depicted on the cover is Theodore Roosevelt with Petz the Bear, Roosevelt hiding a crown and sceptre behind his back as he signs Petz's Golden Book that also bears the signature of the Kaiser. Petz says (roughly translated from German) "You, but in my Golden Book please no hunters' yarns!" It's a great cover cartoon and inside is also an article entitled "Programm Roosevelt". There are full page color cartoons and lots of ads (one for Moet & Chandon's White Star champagne). There is some soiling, rough corners and the like but the cover can easily be cropped or matted to reduce its shortcomings. A wonderful and unusual Teddy Roosevelt collectible. Thanks for looking at this auction.
