Written by English ornithologist, Charles Dixon, who discovered the St Kilda wren and a new species in North Africa. He collaborated with Henry Seebohm on his popular work, British Birds. CONDITION In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with bumping to the extremities, heaviest to the spine head and tail. A few marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with scattered spotting to the first and last few leaves. Inscription from previous owner to the front free endpaper.
