Description: Rare 18th Century Worcester Porcelain First Dr Wall Period Three Flowers Pattern Blue & White Printed Mustard and Cover 4.5” high assembled x 3 .25 ” diameter, c. 1755-90.Round cylinder shape with spoon cut in pinched neck and with an overhang cover, spire finial. Printed blue floral sprays & butterflies and three flowers pattern around the exterior. Painted blue two lines inner border (number 25, shown on p. 56 of Sandon). A similar mustard is shown in figure 67 of Sandon. A tea bowl with the three flowers pattern is shown in figure 138 (right, “c. 1776-90”) of Sandon, Henry, THE ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO WORCESTER PORCELAIN 1751-1793 (1969). Printed blue filled-in crescent mark of Worcester Porcelains, Dr. Wall or First period. Godden mark # 4314,”…The filled-in crescent is printed and occurs on blue printed porcelains...c. 1755-90”. Fine clean condition but for a horizontal line through the handle center; though the handle has not been detached at any time from the mustard body. Otherwise, no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs.
