Description: 18th Century Neapolitan Creche Presepe Figure. Up for sale is a very rare 18th century Presepe Figure. It is a figure of a man with original leather hat. The extremities are made with polychromed wood and the body is held together with hemp and tow. The overall condition is excellent. Limbs with cracking due to humidity change over time. Head slightly loose, other extremities very sturdy. Leather shoes also still attached and in excellent condition. Original wound buttons still sewn on! These figures don’t often come up for sale of this quality, let alone coming for sale at all. In the following weeks I will be selling around 15 of them. If you have any questions let me know.
