1899 Victorian Era Parlor Photograph , Beach Family of Providence Rhode Island

Description: Original late 19th century photograph of the Beach family gathered in the parlor of their home in Providence , Rhode Island. Mounted on card, about 5 5/8" x 7 5/8" Image size 4 11/16" x 6 3/8" Inscribed on the back in old ink : "Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Beach and daughter Marguerite , 1899 " " Lewis M. Beach " ( reclining ) " Providence , R. I. " Victorian era furniture , Mantel Clock , Picture Frame , Fringed Tablecloth , Wallpaper , Shoes , etc. On the shelf is a large photograph with three people and their bicycles ( at the top-left corner ). ------- The reclining man ( who appears to be sleeping and is holding a paper in his right hand ) may be Lewis Milford Beach ( 1861 - 1929 ), who was born in Cranston , Rhode Island, and is buried in Pocasset Cemetery ( Cranston ). --------- Condition. The card mount was trimmed by a former owner ( probably to fit a picture frame ). Otherwise in good condition. Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer.
