Description: Original Ordnance Survey County Series Map Lanarkshire XXX. NW, covering the Calderbank (Caldermill) area, situated between Strathaven and Drumclog, on a scale of Six Inches to One Statute Mile. Noteworthy historical features shown on the map include various old bridges over the Avon and Calder Waters and the Trumpeter’s Well. The map is printed on thick parchment type paper and measures approximately 46cm x 30cm, with titles, notes, legends and scale bars on the wide margins. The whole sheet measures approximately 51cm x 39cm and has been trimmed. The map is generally in good condition, although it has a few very small tears on the wide margins (see photos).
