Description: Original Ordnance Survey County Series Map Midlothian (Edinburghshire) VII. NE, covering the Fairmilehead, Braid Hills, Swanston, Hillend, Mortonhall, Liberton, Burdiehouse and Straiton areas of Edinburgh, on a scale of Six Inches to One Statute Mile. Noteworthy historical features shown on the map include a number of old pits and quarries. The map is printed on thick parchment type paper and measures approximately 46cm x 30cm, with titles, notes, legends and scale bars on the wide margins. The whole sheet measures approximately 51cm x 38cm. The map is generally in good condition, although it is slightly marked and has a few small tears (see photos).
