This coin was minted in Philadelphia, so it does not have a mintmark. The Indian Head penny, designed by James B. Longacre, was minted from 1859 to 1909 and features an image of Lady Liberty wearing a feather headdress on the obverse side. The reverse side has a wreath and the words 'one cent' surrounded by a shield.
