Description: RARE STEREOVIEW OF LOWER TWIN LAKE, NEW MEXICO“LOWER TWIN LAKE” [title in the negative]. [No Place]: [No Photographer, but most likely by noted railway photographer, J. R. Riddle– see below], [No Date, but circa 1880]. Original stereoview photograph. Heavy stock card, measuring 4 x 7 inches; blank verso. A striking view of the sparse New Mexico landscape. This view was found in a large collection of western stereoviews by noted Topeka, Kansas railway photographer James R. Riddle, including rare views of New Mexico. Most have his label or imprint, but some, like this image do not, but the views and title script are distinctly Riddle’s. There are some other “Twin Lakes” locations in the western US, but this was grouped with other New Mexico views, and it’s reminiscent of the other New Mexico views. Very good condition, with light wear and soiling. Please examine photographs to best assess condition. I’ve listed several other rare western views, so please check out our other auctions. Thanks. We have been selling on eBay for 2 decades. We pack carefully, ship quickly, and have thousands of happy customers. Our feedback speaks for itself, so purchase with confidence.
