Morgan VAM. 19B II14 - B2w (Doubled Motto, Die Gouge Cap, Engraved Wing Feather, Clashed Obverse n & s) (181) Obverse II14 - Clashed die with faint partial incuse tick n of In from reverse showing next to Liberty head neck and faint partial incuse s from Trust on reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Die clashing likely occurred before polishing of reverse die of VAM-19A. DPIS – In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. Like the VAM 19A, the 'r' in 'trust' has been polished down so the arm is almost completely gone. The 'G' in God is also fully open. The line up from the eagle's wing made by the clash does not extend up to the 'n' of 'In', indicating that this die was polished more aggressively after the clash than the obverse die was.
