A great find from a local Massachusetts estate! This autograph book is over 147 years old! Leather binding has a nice antique patina. Gilt title lettering and ornamentation to the front board still shines brightly despite age, as do the gilt page edges. Internally, while the endpapers remain attached to the binding, the text block itself is mostly detached, and there are several individual pages detached from the text block. The text block does appear to be complete. Volume includes a gilt decorated title page. No publisher or date given. 42 pages total (not including endpapers or title page) with 12 pages showing autographs and inscriptions; the remaining pages are blank! The earliest autograph appears to be from 1875, and the majority of the pages were signed in 1877. This particular autograph book appears to have been owned by someone in the Meiller or Miller family. Numerous residents of Cook County, Illinois, particularly Bloom, have signed this book. Other locations include Millersville, Bloom, Arlington Heights, and Chicago. Other surnames include Wallace, Cherry, Goodfellow, Caskey, Newhall, and Souter. Please see our photos above for more details. A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special! Price includes FAST, FREE shipping! Buy with confidence! Measures approximately 4 1/4 inches tall by 7 inches wide. This item has been carefully inspected by hand. If you have any questions about this item, please contact us before bidding or buying!
