Description: We are offering a document, dated the 14th of December, 1875, issued and signed by Governor William Gaston, appointing Trumbull Bull as Justice of the Peace of the County of Worcester, Massachusetts - "for and during the term of Seven Years....if he shall as long behave himself well in the said office". The document is also signed by the Secretary of the Commonwealth. On the second page is a declaration that Trumbull Bull had taken the oaths of office which qualified him to execute his duties as Judge, signed by the Commissioners of the Commonwealth. The document has the Massachusetts state seal impressed into it. CONDITION: Very Good; two small edge tears at the folds have been repaired on the back with acid-free archival mending tape.
