Description: Circa 1870's-1880's tintype with a bold closeup, detailed, & very sharp image of an elegant man playing a violin. The man is very well dressed with a double vest & a matching suit jacket. The photo measures 4 1/4 inches by 2 3/8 inches. There are a some long smooth bends. The majority of these bends do not show when the photo is viewed straight on. But, they are all visible when the tintype is held at an angle under a bright light. There are two light lines in the exposure across the man's jacket & his hand holding the bow. Otherwise, the front as well as the back are fresh & appealing looking. This interesting tintype was found in Morgantown, West Virginia. Please examine the photos closely & purchase based on your own judgement as to condition & value. This item is inventory #10483.
