Description: 1866 Poems of Alfred Tennyson (Two Volumes in One) Antique Farringford Edition. This book has brown cloth covers with gilted lettering and decoration on the front cover and spine which is bright and undamaged. The outside pages are also brightly gilted.There is moderate shelf wear to the cover corners and edges, however the area along the spine and the front cover has split. Despite this, both covers are securely attached and all of the pages are tightly bound. The first page has the name of a former owner and town written in fountain pen ink. The next blank page has written "Christmas 1865" which is confusing because the title page shows it was published in 1866. A quick perusal of the pages revealed no other markings. This book measures approximately 8 3/8" x 5 3/4" x 1 7/8". There is no leaning. Every effort has been made to accurately document the condition of this item, so please examine the photos closely before purchasing.
