The Bible is open to the book of Isaiah as Lincoln turns the page. This image is based on a photograph taken in the studio of Mathew Brady on February 9, 1864. The original photo included only Lincoln and his son. Publishers Currier and Ives inserted the image of Mrs. Lincoln. ----------- Condition. As-seen in the photos. Foxing and browning of the paper ( from having spent 150 years in a wooden picture frame with a wooden backing board ). The thick paper is a little wavy. Otherwise good. A fairly scarce Currier & Ives litho. Over 150 years old. Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer.
