Description: This listing features an 1860s Ambrotype photo of two young women in matching outfits. I assume these are sisters. This is a quarter plate image (3.25 x 4.25) with a single piece of glass and foil frame. The girl on the left, right arm, is a spot of image loss and there is not a case with this image. This photo and a few other cased photos I have for sale, came from the Powers Museum, Carthage, Mo. Some years ago, the Powers had contracted for these cased photos to be cleaned and sealed with linen archival tape by the International Photography Hall of Fame in OKC. The Powers Museum closed a few years ago during the height of Covid pandemic.
