Description: This is an early pontiled hand blown glass pantry storage jar or apothecary drugstore jar from the 1860s with its original tin lid....hand blown in dip mold, so there are no mold seams....rough pontil scar on bottom....crude smooth sheared wide mouth......clear....7 7/8"tall ...8 1/4"with lid x 3 3/8"round....Excellent shiny nice condition with only one small shallow chip on top surface of rim; no other damage. A nice clean jar with no haze. Normal old wear on bottom. Original tin lid has hand soldered seam and is really nice and solid with no rust or holes. Lid fits just right.
