Description: This is an original large antique 1857 Territory of Minnesota deed with an additional document attached. This deed is printed on blue paper and measures about 10.5” x 15.5”. This is a printed form with handwritten entries that relates to the sale of land in Ramsey County in what I think it now part of the city of St. Paul today. This deed was for the purchase of land by Michael Jones and his wife Louisa from John Ruyle Junior who resided in Greene County, Illinois. The document is signed by Jones and his wife Louisa and also by the notary public J. Mainzer. A second related document is attached signed by Joseph Travis Rosser, Secretary of the Territory of Minnesota.
