Description: Original late-1850s quarter-plate daguerreotype of a family of four, housed in its original pebbled leather banded style case. Closed, the case is about 4.75" x 3.75". The case is in very good antique condition. It's complete with very light wear on the outside. The main issues are the missing section of leather in the interior, as shown, and that a couple of the corners are slightly separating, but still stable. The daguerreotype does have some condition issues: light scratches and swipes throughout. 1467
