The bowl of the ladle features a pierced work design, great for serving things like berries or other fruit in syrup, or sifting sugar. The handle is done in a classical Fiddle pattern. This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is hallmarked on the back of the handle with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for the city of London, the date letter M for 1847, Queen Victoria's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for John Robert Harris.
