Illustrated with a vignette title page, and head- and tail-pieces.Northcote was a painter who trained under Joshua Reynolds, who was elected to the Royal Academy in 1787. Including a life of Northcote. Edited by Edmund Southey Rogers.Bookplate of Davis Morris to the front paste down. Ink inscription of Peter Lethbridge to the front paste down. CONDITION In a full morocco binding. Externally, generally smart, with light rubbing to the spine and extremities. Very small cracks to the head and tail of the front joint. Spine is a little faded. Minor bumping to the extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm. Bookplate and ink inscription to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
