Description: Sixth-plate daguerreotype of a woman seated next to a table with several books. She has tinted cheeks and painted gold jewelry, and in her hand she's holding either a closed daguerreotype or book, I can't tell for sure. The original seals are very thin and fragile but mostly still in place. Underside of the glass is dirty but can be cleaned... no damage noted.. a few of the specks might be tiny mold spiders, but I can't examine under magnification at the moment. Case is still in one piece but the interior strip of leather on the spine is split... the outer piece of leather is holding it together.6767A mourning memento mori memorial post mortem 1800s antique vintage rare
