He was the first president of the Whig Party. The top of the front of the token reads “MAJ GEN W. H. HARRISON” and the bottom of that side reads “BORN FEB. 9, 1773.” The back of the token reads “THE CHOICE OF THE PEOPLE IN THE YEAR 1840.” Please see the photos to judge the condition of this 184-year-old campaign token.
