PROVENANCE: A map published in 'Barclays Complete and Universal English Dictionary' by the Rev. James Barclay, revised by Henry W. Dewhurst. Published by Thomas Kelly, London.ARTIST/ENGRAVER: Drawn and engraved by Alexander Findlay. Alexander George Findlay was an English geographer and hydrographer. Alexander George Findlay (January 6, 1812 - May 3, 1875) was born in London to the Findlays of Arbroath, Forfarshire, a family long associated with nautical trades.
