Description: This is a fine SET OF EIGHT Original Antique Prints Drawn by the renowned artists I R & G Cruikshank to illustrate Pierce Egan's popular book Life in London, The Day and Night Scenes of Jerry Hawthorn, Esq. and his Elegant Friend Corinthian Tom in their Rambles and Sprees through the Metropolis. It was published in 1821 and depicts the adventures and misadventures of two young men in London, encountering both high- and low-life. Overall sizes 9 inches (230mm) by 6 1/2 inches (160mm). All eight in good antique condition, with light wear in keeping with their 200 years of age, (see photos). Please see the photographs for condition & type.
