Description: 1821 Coronet Variety Early American Copper United States Large Cent Mintage for the 1821 is ONLY 389,000 pieces, which makes it the lowest mintage regular date of the Coronet type during all its years of production (1816-1839). Mintage of every other year was well over a million coins minted each year. The 1821 is scarce in ANY grade or condition. James Monroe was President of the United States that year. Fairly clean circulated coin , I would say in the fine details range. The obverse showing some hair and clear date and all LIBERTY showing. The reverse is a bit better with all the leaves showing and with some separation and of course, full rims ... but...See photos. Any Grades on Coins, if not in a third party slab, are strictly my humble opinion. Please refer to photos and assign grades for your self.
