Off-setting exhibited on title page from frontispiece. Foxing, toning, and finger-soiling present throughout text-block. Some instances of age-stains. Binding is intact, but fragile. Please see photos. Rev. David Simpson (1745-1799) was an Anglican priest who spent most of his career in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England. He was educated at Scorton Grammar School and then at St. John's College, Cambridge, where he graduated with a B.A. in 1769 and an M.A. in 1772. His theology was evangelical and this was to cause problems during his career.
