Description: Although there have been coins graded higher, this is the only 1809 Bust Half graded MS60 by NGC and PCGS. It is in an old NGC holder, and they were more inclined to give MS60 grades then. Today coins usually grade AU58 or MS61, but rarely MS60. This coin looks mint state, but there is some softness in the strike at some of the high points. There are virtually no marks to account for the 60 grade, so I am guessing it was given this grade due to the soft strike. The surfaces and toning are beautiful and original. As usual, my pictures don't do this beautiful coin justice. This is part of a very high end collection that I have recently acquired. I will be listing some here, but check out my web site for others. Thanks, StevePennywiseRC
