The top of the box presents with a monogram. The inside of the box has a gold wash. The inside bottom of the snuff box is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver, a leopard's crowned head for London, a date letter L for the year 1806, and a duty mark of King George III's head. The inside of the lid is marked with a leopard's crowned head for London and a date letter L for the year 1806. The maker's mark is only partially visible. This piece is in excellent condition. There are four minor dings, which are almost unnoticeable. The inside presents with a strong gold wash. The hinge is in good working condition.
